I have realised that the seed of desire is rooted in anticipation. It is never truly satisfied and is responsible for life's continuing struggle. Anticipation is the anxiety of expectation. Preoccupied with the future horizon with hope for the best and fear of the worst, but distracted from the present by the promise of pleasure. Despite all the gains and losses, loves and hates, truths and lies, upheavals and comforts, and all the altruistic acts and broken promises, noble intentions and harsh words, the soul, entrapped within its mortal frame, continues to yearn to relinquish all desire and know the ecstasy of liberation”.
